From Rachel with Love: Rome

My father's side of the family has a strong Italian background so seeing Italy for the first time this past year was exciting. I stayed right around the corner from the Coliseum in a recently renovated apartment and brought along my Polaroid SX-70 and Canon AE-1 to all the sites. Going in February meant that the city wasn't overrun by tourists, so visiting places like Vatican City, the Roman Forum and the Trevi Fountain was much easier than it would have been during the summer. All photos were taken with expired film and fueled by far too much amazing Italian espresso.
